PC-Salman in 'I Am Hariprasad'

Very few know that filmmaker Prem Raj Soni, who made his directorial debut with the movie “Main Aur Mrs. Khanna”, had always wanted Priyanka Chopra in the lead role opposite Salman Khan. But as it was his debut venture he was unable to rope Salman and Priyanka and finally had to make the film with Kareena as the female lead.

However, he is very excited at present because of his new venture “I Am Hariprasad”. As expected the lead actor in the movie is none other than the favorite of all Salman Khan, and for the female lead the director is making all possible efforts to get Priyanka in the frame.

Talking about Priyanka, the director said, "Priyanka is one of the most talented actors of today's time and I respect her body of work truly. It will be a dream to work with her."  Soni further said that he had always liked the on-screen chemistry between Salman and Priyanka. He feels that they both look great as a pair on the silver screen.

When asked about the new project Soni said that Salman has always been a good friend for him. It was because of Salman that he was able to make “Main Aur Mrs. Khanna”, and now for “I Am Hariprasad” also Salman has rendered his full support. He says that the movie is not a love story completely; it has all the shades of entertainment and is even full of humor. 

So far Salman and Priyanka have acted together in three movies, “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi”, “Salaam-e-Ishq” and “God Tussi Great Ho”. Except for “God…..” the other two were well received by the viewers. And we are sure all their fans would love to see this pair shine on the silver screen again. We hope Soni is lucky this time and is able to get Priyanka in the lead.

Its old news that Priyanka Chopra was the original choice for filmmaker Prem Raj Soni to play the female lead opposite Salman Khan in \'Main Aur Mrs. Khanna\'.

Back then, the director couldn\'t get Salman and Priyanka together for his debut film and had to rope in Kareena Kapoor instead.

However, as he puts plans into place for his next venture \'I Am Hariprasad\' with Salman in the lead, Soni wishes to rope in Priyanka too for the ambitious project.

Soni says, \"Priyanka is one of the most talented actors of today\'s time and I respect her body of work truly. It will be a dream to work with her.\"

Soni is highly excited about his project with his good friend Salman. Soni has written the script of the film and says that unlike \'Main Aur Mrs. Khanna\', \'I Am Hariprasad\' is not a love story. The director also assures that the film has loads of humour to leave audiences in splits and hang on... loads of drama included too!

Now, we know that Salman and Priyanka had fallen out after PC rejected the role in \'MAMK\'. It remains to be seen if Soni plays peace maker and succeeds in bringing the two hot, great looking people together.

MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is a very moody actor and once he miffed with someone, it becomes very difficult for that person to please him. We have seen Salman Khan is combined with Priyanka Chopra in several films, but now they are on very good terms and the reason is Priyanka’s denial to work opposite Salman in ‘Main Aur Mrs. Khanna’.

Initially, director Prem Raj Soni Priyanka wanted to do the female lead in Main Aur Mrs. Khanna, but he could not see her, Kareena was signed. This did not go well with Salman and he started keeping a distance from the actress. They rocked together in ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ the movies, ‘Salaam-E-Ishq: A Tribute to Love’, ‘God Tussi Great Ho’ Soni so looking forward to bringing them into his next project, titled ‘I Am Hari Prasad’.

Soni has already signed Salman Khan for the male lead and expects to sign Priyanka. We hope Soni turns peacemaker between the two actors and I Am Hariprasad bring them back. 

The script of the film is written by the filmmaker, and he claims the project is very different from the usual love story, like Main Aur Mrs Khanna. He promises to offer lots of humor and drama in this ambitious project.

We hope that Soni’s mission is to Salman and Priyanka together successfully, so the audience can see each other laugh riot of next year!

Salman Khan delays ‘I Am Hariprasad’

Salman Khan has a whole list of films that he has given a nod to, but the truth is that the star has no time till early 2013. After he wraps up the shooting of Yash Raj Films’ Ek Tha Tiger, the star will go intoDabangg 2 and Sher Khan. Well, there are also some more South remakes lined up and then there’s also the Bodyguard remake. This leaves Main Aurr Mrs Khanna director Prem Soni’s I Am Hairprasad in quite a tough spot. The film was announced August last year but since Salman got busy with other films Soni started work on Ishq In Paris with Preity Zinta. Now I Am Hariprasad is unlikely to go the floor till 2013 as Sallu has already given away his dates to other films. Well, will the film ever get made? Guess only Sallu can answer that one!

Salman Khan made his debut in Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988) in which he played a supporting role. Salaam-e-Ishq (2007) failed at the box office. However, Partner (2008) was a hit.

Wanted (2009) remains one of Salman’s blockbuster hits. But Main Aur Mrs. Khanna & London Dreams released in the same year did not do so well. And then Dabangg (2010) happened! The movie broke all box-office records, thus becoming the second highest grossing Indian movie of all time. Salman received the Star Screen Best Actor Award for the movie and was nominated for Filmfare Best Actor Award as well.

Salman’s Ready and Bodyguard were among the biggest hits of 2011.
