While rumours continue to spread around Salman Khan consenting to do films left right and centre, either as originals, remakes or sequels, the fact of the matter is something else. In the times when his other high profile biggies like 'Dabangg 2' and 'Sher Khan' aren't going on floors any time soon, there is yet another film that joins the queue -- 'I Am Hariprasad'. Announced over a year back, the film has now gone on a backburner for an indefinite timeframe.
“Yes, 'I Am Hariprasad' is not happening till end of next year at the least,” informs a source.
“Director Prem R. Soni (who had debuted with 'Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna') had announced the film with Salman last August. However, ever since then both of them have been quite busy with their other assignments. Salman went on to deliver three blockbusters ('Dabangg', 'Ready', 'Bodyguard') in the interim period while Prem has started 'Ishkq In Paris' with Preity Zinta. Over the coming year, they both have commitments on other films that would keep them occupied.”
So while Salman Khan would be starting Arbaaz Khan's 'Dabangg 2' and Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Kick' after Aditya Chopra's 'Ek Tha Tiger', Prem too would be moving on to his other film which is titled 'Bombay Muumbai'.
“Prem has a good personal and professional relationship with Salman and won't start anything with him till he is convinced that the film justifies his super stardom,” says a source.
“They have done an experimental film before in the form of 'Main Aurr Mrs Khanna'. Now, 'I Am Hariprasad', or for that matter any other film that they do, it has to be special. No one wants to do a rush job,” he said.
