Salman Khan rushes to meet Sanjay Dutt: View pics

The Dabangg star headed straight to meet his pal as soon as he landed in Mumbai from USA

Salman Khan has always been the best of friends with Sanjay Dutt. He is one actor who can relate to all that Dutt has been going through since Salman himself has had a number of run-ins with the law.
So it was no surprise when Salman rushed to meet Sanjay soon after landing in Mumbai on Saturday night. Dutt was sentenced to five years imprisonment for illegal possession of arms in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case and many celebrities have visited him in the past three days.
Salman too will have to attend court hearings in the 2002 hit-and-run case. The actor’s vehicle had run over sleeping pavement dwellers leaving one person dead and four others injured. Sallu will be appearing in court in a few hours; so keep checking this space as we bring you the latest developments on the actor’s fate.

Salman Khan is fine, says sister Arpita Khan

We at Bollywoodlife told you that Salman Khan was in the US for surgery to fix his trigeminal neuralgia once again. And the Dabanggdude’s sister Arpita Khan says that the superstar is fine and will be back soon

We were the first to discover that Salman Khan was in the US not just for his regular checkup, but for something more that had been diligently kept under wraps. And we told you that the Dabangg star had a secret surgery in the distant land, away from the prying eyes of the media. A secret source informed us that bhai started experiencing a niggling pain his jaw and before things turned more serious, the 47-year-old actor decided to fly to America, without wasting even a day.
We all know that Salman has a nerve disorder called trigeminal neuralgia which restricts him contorting his face. The condition is so serious that it prevents the star from laughing and screaming, as it could damage his facial muscles and nerves. Khan underwent major surgery in the US last year, which helped alleviate this rare condition. But there was a little more to go, it seems.
And now, almost confirming our report about Salman’s departure to the States Sallu’s sister Arpita Khan tweets “Bhai is fine, he’ll be back soon. Thanks for your concern as always.” Though Arpita doesn’t divulge too much about Sallu’s secret visit to the US, our khooffiya khabroos give us every bit of information on the hunk’s whereabouts and his improving health condition.
We hope Salman is all recovered soon and comes back to the island city to entertain us in the way only he does – right, BollywoodLifers?

Salman Khan investing in tourism project in Dubai

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is not only looking at buying an apartment, but he is planning to invest in a tourism project in Dubai.

“We are in talks with Salman, but he hasn’t taken any decision yet,” the developer, who asked not to be named, told Emirates24|7.

“He [Salman] was here last weekend but was quite busy,” the developer added, who is building a mega tourism project.

The project was announced last year and will be built in Dubailand.
At a press conference  in December, Salman told this website: "To put it bluntly, if I wasn’t living in Mumbai for work, then I would surely be living in Dubai."
The actor is not the first Bollywood star to have lend his name to a real estate project in Dubai.

In 2008, Shah Rukh Khan launched “Shah Rukh Khan Boulevard”, a Dh8 billion project on Dana Island off Ras Al Khaimah coast.

“Shah Rukh Khan Boulevard is my tribute to the love and affection shown by the people of the UAE to Indian cinema,” he said during the launch of the project in October 2008.

“My vision for the project is to make life a celebration. I have lent my name to the project and I intend to share and transfer my passion for design and living spaces into this world class community that residents will be proud of,” he had said.

The project has been put on hold.

In the same year, Deepika Padukone was named the brand ambassador for the now defunct Aspire Real Estate.

'Zanjeer' remake: Priyanka Chopra to sport two different avatars

Mumbai: Actress Priyanka Chopra will don two distinct looks for the remake of 1973 film 'Zanjeer', says designer Pria Kataria Puri, who is making her Bollywood foray with the movie.
Priyanka plays the role of Mala in the movie, directed by Apoorva Lakhia.
"In the first half of 'Zanjeer' when she's abroad, Priyanka would be dressed as a woman entrepreneur should be dressed. You see, in today's times, a working woman from India doesn't stand out at the airport. She looks like any chic well-dressed woman from any part of the world," said Puri.
"Later, when Priyanka's character comes to India, she gets more colourful in her sartorial expression. You would notice that even when an Indian girl in India dresses in western clothes, there is a dash of Indianness in her clothes. She may wear shorts, but it would be orange in colour. Priyanka's clothes would reflect her changed geo-political mindset," she added.
Interestingly the designer and Priyanka's character share a similar background.
"Like Priyanka's Mala in 'Zanjeer', I am an NRI working out of a foreign country. So I instinctively understand the clothes that Priyanka should wear. I often see actresses in our clothes looking wow. But they don't seem to be dressed in character."
The designer has so far done her globally-feted clothes from Kuwait, where her husband works. She also flies to San Franscisco at least twice a month to meet her daughter who studies in the US. But her heart has always been fully 'Hindustani'.
"You can say, fully filmy. I love Hindi films and I love the way the heroines dress up, though very often I've felt that they don't dress in character. But I can't sleep without watching a Bollywood film every night," said Puri.
So what has kept this 'fully filmy' designer away from Bollywood so far?
"I insisted on a bound script which I never got. 'Zanjeer' is the first film I've said yes to. One of the reasons is the director Apoorva Lakhia, who' a friend. The other reason is Priyanka Chopra, who according to me, is the most international actress from Bollywood.
"She can carry off any look. She understands clothes, and she knows so much about fabric! I was amazed by her knowledge and her ability to put forward her thoughts on how her character must dress. We were instantly on the same page when we met."
Puri especially loved Lakhia's brief on Priyanka's character.
"He was the first director who gave me a hard-bound script. Earlier I refused offers because I didn't get a script. For me it's very important to know the character's graph to be able to dress her properly. Because of the script, I got to know Priyanka's character Mala thoroughly before I decided on her look."

I am Hariprasad (2013) Upcoming Movie First Look

Prem Soni I Am Hariprasad - Latest News & Gossip

Salman Khan has a whole list of films that he has given a nod to, but the truth is that the star has no time till early 2013. After he wraps up the shooting of Yash Raj Films’ Ek Tha Tiger, the star will go into Dabangg 2 and Sher Khan. Well, there are also some more South remakes lined up and then there’s also the Bodyguard remake. This leaves Main Aurr Mrs Khanna director Prem Soni’s I Am Hairprasad in quite a tough spot. The film was announced August last year but since Salman got busy with other films Soni started work on Ishq In Paris with Preity Zinta. NowI Am Hariprasad is unlikely to go the floor till 2013 as Sallu has already given away his dates to other films. Well, will the film ever get made? Guess only Sallu can answer that one!
